ABRS delivers the Australian Faunal Directory which encompasses information from the Zoological Catalogue of Australia.

Platypus is a relational database program developed by the ABRS ABIF-Fauna project.
 

ABRS Species Bank

Species Bank provides information on species of interest and/or importance to the community. It covers a broad range of taxa at species level - from animals to plants to fungi. Each treatment is about 350-500 words long, under a set of prescribed headings and include one or more distribution maps, and one or more illustrations of the species.
 

Australian Node of GBIF

The Australian participant node for the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) which documents and coordinates the activities of the Australian GBIF participants.

AM Faunanet

FaunaNet is an online gateway to resources and expertise in biodiversity and conservation coordinated by the Australian Museum's Centre for Biodiversity and Conservation Research (CBCR).
 

WAM Faunabase

FaunaBase, coordinated by the Western Australian Museum, provides on-line access to terrestrial vertebrate specimen records. WA FaunaList provides a comprehensive phylogenetically arranged checklist of the scientific names for each vertebrate group (amphibians, birds, mammals, reptiles and fishes) recorded from Western Australia and the surrounding seas.
 

MV Bioinformatics

Bioinformatics is a Museum Victoria web site that provides public access to some of Victoria's vertebrate and invertebrate biodiversity. The site covers Victorian vertebrates including mammals, lizards, frogs, snakes and Victorian butterflies.

Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) Data Portal

The GBIF data portal allows you to search for biological records obtained from all the data providers registered with GBIF. You may restrict your selection to choose only those records originating from a particular country, e.g. Australia.

Darwin Core is a profile describing the minimum set of standards for search and retrieval of natural history collections and observation databases.
